FAQ's

What is Deadstock Fabric?

Deadstock fabric is the surplus, leftover textiles from the fashion industry. The top three reasons they exist are Overproduction, End of Season/Trend Changes, and QC Rejects. Think of Deadstock as the 2nd hand material of preconsumer waste. Time, energy, and resources have already been made into the fabric- let’s not let it go to the landfill! Let’s use it to share our love for crafting and the planet.

How many yards are in a Mystery Fabric Bundle?

One pound averages 3 yards of fabric. We try to mix two fabric styles in One Pound.

Looking for Natural Fibers? Look for the MFB marked with a green leaf.

Where are you located?

We’re located in sunny Los Angeles, California. We don’t have a store front(yet!!), we’re working on doing more pop-ups in SoCal and beyond. Follow our Social Media for more info: @sewbysew

Where do you ship?

We ship domestically (here in the USA) and almost every country internationally. You see if I am shipping to your country, when you are at the checkout. We understand that the shipping costs can be a burden for some. If you’d like to support our mission to keep these fabrics out of landfills and inspire creativity- we suggest you donate by purchasing a Donate Mystery Fabric Bundle. With your support, these bundles will go to educators and charitable crafters around the USA encouraging crafting and sustainablity throughout communities.
